Sadler's Wells has been retired. Any thoughts on the next great racing sire?

It is the end of an era. Sadler's Wells has given us so many of the racehorses that we have loved, admired and enjoyed on the racetrack. I really hope he has a long retirement, his sire lived to be 30.

I agree with comments about Montjeu, love him but the temperament is there. Also intrested in nayef, was a real favourite of mine and those bloodlines are wonderful too. I'm a big fan of Cheveley Park Stud and Pivotal is something special as well. They have been smart keeping that family going.

We owned a filly by Dansilli, who I loved and she was tough and genuine. But for me, the one I think has a really great shot at carrying on where his sire has left off is Galileo.

Fabulously bred with just the right amount of stamina and speed and some old fashioned German breeding in there for endurance and class. He remains my favourite Derby winner.

What an excellent sire Sadler's Wells has been over the years, he has produced god knows how many group winners and outstanding racehorses,I bet he's glad he finished now and can enjoy the rest of his life putting his feet up and grazing in a field

One thing i always envied about male racehorses is they get to have all the best looking fillies around,what a job that is.

On a more serious note I have trawled around and think i may have spotted what is already a good sire who goes by the name of Dansili (12-y-o) already sired 6 group winners including 4 at group 1 and the 2006 Arc winner Railroad, along with this was the Champion Sire in France in 2006, so could be one to take a look at.

Sadler's Wells was simply the best though.

I think I have to agree with you and go along with Pivotal.

Now in this fourth year at stud he has produced 80 winners from 639 runners, and 2008 could well be his best year.

If you like big and bold then Choisir is turning out some stunning looking fillies and colts among them Fat Boy, Stimulation and one filly in particular that I saw run very well on 1,000 guineas day her name is Meydan Princess.

I also really admire Monsun, sire of black beauty Manduro (now at stud for Godolphin) and Getaway who also won at Newmarket on 1,000 Guineas day a 5 year old I am sure we will be hearing more of this year, he absolutely cruised home to beat Sixties Icon by just over 3 lengths.

Out of the three I will go for Pivotal to wear the crown being out of Polar Falcon we can look forward to some pretty speedy individuals.

Kobemania - Kobe's ego is finally the clarification Shaq replace into ousted. Shaq has 4 rings, 3 Finals MVPs. Kobe has 5, yet 2 Finals MVPs. As of now, stats and all into interest, Shaq is #8 all-time, with Kobe surprising on the back of at #9.

Coming from Australia, I don't think we had many Sadler's Wells horses over here. As to the next big thing Redoutes Choice is sire that has burst on the scene in only his fifth season at stud his fee has reached $330,000(au$). He produces brilliant 2YO and 3YO's so he is in high demand as we have the richest 2YO race in the world. His yearlings have broken all types of Australian Sales records and at this time there is more money in Australian Racing then ever before. We don't have Sheik's or Oil tycoons but we do have Mining tycoons and they're all after the next best son of Redoutes Choice.

There many great stallions there he is not the only one !
