the 1947 "secret Weapon" is just a play on words by the person who sells it to get your curiosity up in hopes that you will be a fool into spending lots of money for something easily bought for a lot less.
It is simply a Green, neon, light source, in a tube form, that you place into the water. The idea is that green is the last color to fade out under water. Since marine life is attracted to light, this green light will call up many species from a greater distance. It basically works like this; plankton is the first to show up and then smaller baitfish show up to eat the plankton. As a feeding frenzy goes on with the baitfish, the larger fish move in to join the party. Does this light work? Yes it does and for many species of fish and baits. You can actually find them cheaper on line by visiting baitshops or fishing related retail shops. You can also find smaller versions of this system for about 20 bucks...starfire systems. Good luck catchin'.

I agree with expert7. Rip off.
The same effect can be had by pointing the bow light of a boat or good flashlight into the water.
I honestly don't know that such a thing will really attract any more fish than are already feeding in the water.
Stripers are pretty sensative to light and prefer to feed in the dark anyway.
Most predator fish (Bass etc.) hunt by vibration through their lateral lines anyway. When I am night fishing, and want to give the fish an extra visual cue to bite, I turn to some subtle glow in the dark materials.
This seems to work pretty well for me. Trout will come to a light in the water out of curiosity, and are more visual than some of the sunfish species.

It is a green light that floats in the water powered by a 12V battery (batteries are not supplied!!!). The concept behind it is that small baitfish are attracted to the light where they feed on small insects and minnows. The bigger fish are attracted to small fish and feed on them. For the price IMHO it's a total rip off.

A few things about it, firstly it has never been proved to catch fish and secondly its no longer a secret weapon because its all over the Internet, personally i wouldn't waste my money on one, it attracts fish by light(supposedly)
