Tail lights on 99 silverado wont go off?

I have a 99 chevy silverado and the tail lights wont go off. They flicker on occasion, but remain on most of the time. (When the truck is in park and turned off). Thanks.

Update:

It is just the tail lights, not the brake lights.

If you have a 7 pole trailer plug there is a 12 volt hot prong. if it is crossed with the running light prong the tail lights will stay on until it is fixed. or the wires inside the plug are touching.

If its your brake light then its probably just your brake switch located above the brake pedal.

that would mean the parking lights and markers are on also. check this.. and the only thing that can cause this is the light switch. ok..
