Number Generation in FileMaker Pro?
Can anyone tell me how to generate sequential numbers with FileMaker Pro? I need a number to be assigned automatically as I enter each new record. Preferably one with 5 digits, eg 00001, 00002, 00003 etc. If this isn't possible, just 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on would be fine. I have FMP 7. If you need more information to help, just ask.

File>define database> Then select the field you want serialized - field options>auto enter>serial number
