If it is a list of items you have previously searched, just hold your mouse over it and press the delete button, you'll have to do this for each item that appears.
If it is a list google provides, perhaps you could turn this funtion off in the settings??

delete everything on the cache. You can go to Tools menu, Internet Options, then delete/clear something. You can search this question her in yahoo answers. I can't simulate and guide step by step, as im using IE7 already.. upgrade to IE7. It's more stable and some websites only allows IE7.
If you have IE7, go to tools, Internet Options, click "Delete" button. And all your previous searches will be removed from your system.

You need to clean out your cache/cookies. Windows makes
multiple copies of your browsing habits for some unknown
reason. (you'd think one copy is enough) Here's a link to a
