Blood Pressure?

Is there any truth to the rumor/remedy that pickle juice/veniger will flush the sodium out of your system and reduce your blood pressure.

I am on meds but reading and discussing it this has been brought to mind.

Any one have an idea?

Not likely! But reduce sodium intake (there is a LOT of it in processed foods... check the labels).

An excellent site for more good information about blood pressure is http://www.smart-heart-living.com/high-blood-press...

You'll find advice on diet and exercise and other things you can do to help lower your BP.

    Good luck!

    Don't know about pickle juice/vinegar!

I suffer from high blood pressure I'm on medication but am also looking for a better option. Drugs will eventually damage your kidneys. Try using Cayenne Pepper (ground) on your food. Plum juice also help for lowering blood pressure, but the biggest factor is your weight. If you are over weight then the chances are that it might be linked to your high blood pressure.

I have had high blood pressure for years.. take medication.. but the foods that have helped lower mine are tuna, apples and oatmeal.. some others ..but I feel these three have helped the most.. and Id put canned tuna at the top of the list.

If you want to get rid of sodium in your body stop consuming it, and drink lots of water. It'll be lower in a few days. Here's a site with good info:
