My portable hard drive stooped working When connected It Shows safely Remove icon but no drive can it work now

I'm not sure, but try to hook it up to another computer. If it's not working on another one then I can't help, but if it does work, you need to fix your cpu or maybe just reinstall the hard drive.

the computer driver that reads ur external hard drive may not work. try to look on ur computers drivers and check to see if something is not running properly. if this does no work take it to a computer programmer like the ones workin in the geek squad at best buy

open the portable hard drive case and repluge the connectors and other cables. As the problem is bcoz of loose connections. in case if it still doesnt work, then it means the drive is dead.
