Where should I put an electrical outlet in relation to a phone jack?

I am finishing my basement and have to decide where to place an electical outlet for a phone jack. I'm going to have a cordless phone on the wall, so I'm going to put the phone jack at eye level. Should I put the electrical outlet in the same location and see the huge phone adapter plug? Or should I put the outlet at normal floor level and have the cord hang down the wall? Thanks, in advance, for your input!

If you do in the Basement make it sure your phone away from some electrical volts so you won't have a static to your phone.

    Away also a water.

Basement phone do not put it to your Baseboard, Put it above near the window or eye level you said that would do.

    You can hang down cord.

Or have a Cordless Extension Phone in the basement like Cordless 5.8 Ghz or a 6.0 Ghz. Uniden would do.

But it's up to you what Brand you would like. More option have a Speaker phone on your Extension cordless phone down into your basement so you it's hands free.

Source(s): I have Uniden and love it the sounds is loud. Just follow the instruction before you use the phone so you won't have echo to your Uniden. Do not Plug phone wire until it's fully charge the battery into your new phone. i don't have any echo into my Uniden phone and I love it.
