Im totally sh!tting it right now!! Im 22yr i have a high school diploma some college but no college degree and i have a diploma in culinary arts but i CANT STAND COOKING!!!!!

Im am unemployed right now. i used to work at sprint but i quit cuz of the drama there. ive been unemployed for almost a month now!!! money is running out and i have bills to pay. The sad thing about it is that i want to go back to college but i dont know what i want to study. And given the fact that i am not financially stable right now i dont want to waste time or money TRYING TO FIGURE OUT what i want to do for a living. I dont just wanna pick a random field to study cuz i dont even know what i like to do. I dont want to go half way into a course then realize i dont like it and wouldnt do it for a living then back out and start something else. ive done that way to many times and i believe thats how i ended up jobless and confused. somebody please help!!!

Update:

ive studied real estate, italian, japanese, engineering, fashion design ( i love this but i HATE SEWING) but i never really finished any of them. plus i dont like them except for fashion. fashion i do like but its hard to make it here. I also love acting. but again, its hard to make it a career. I need something i would enjoy now and would give me income now so that i can pursue other things. what should i do??? how do i get myself to figure out what i want to do for a living without putting myself into more debit with loans or wasting time???

I think you need counselling to find out why you start things, but never finish them or follow through. There is a deeper problem here.

You are not alone. This is a common problem. I was in your situation. I went into business when I wish I had realized that I should have gone into math and science because I don't like nonsense. I don't like drama and games. Math and science are challenging and impersonal. It is what it is. You should speak with a career counselor and see about taking an assessment test to find where your interests may lie.

What is your ideal work environment? Health care is a great field with lots of different opportunities. Do you like numbers? Do you like the idea of working in a lab on various research projects? Biochemistry and Biochemical Engineering are huge. You are going to work hard no matter what you choose to do so go with what you love. Don't worry about the hard work because it will be there no matter what.

After reading your posts you are like a lot of young people today in our society. You really do not know what you want in life. Well it seems like myself I have been down this road like you, and if I must say I have a suggestion that may help you get an idea of what career path you want to go down in life. Here's an idea which I think for you would be of tremendous help to you. There's the branches of service. The army, navy, airforce, and marines and coast guard. All these branches of service are looking for young and healthy people like yourself to serve. When you serve with one of these you can see the world, develop life social skills, help you see what career field you are really strong in and will help you develop them, plus you will have a steady flow of income, and if you decide to you can make a career and retire after 20 years of service. It also sounds like you need to get away from where you are and you need a fresh scene of life where noone knows you and you can really blossum as a person. Plus when you are in one of these brances of service they have programs where you can earn your college degree. For you I think this is the best thing you can do.

That's hard. Once you intrude on someones trust in such a way, it's very hard to get it back. You're gonna have to take time and break him down. Just keep reasuring and maybe eventually he'll come around. Why'd you do it in the first place? Sometimes it's too late, and it's a lesson learned.

Make a list of everything you may want to do and then go over it again and again. Scratch out anything you are pretty sure you won't want to do day in and day out. And anything - like acting - they you dont' think you could do and make a good deal of income. Then you'll have your answer.
