Why do Uruanim Boiling Point and Melting Point differ so much?

uraniums mp is 2070 °F its bp is 7468 °F why are they so different when most elements are not like this

    The individual atoms of U are quite large and it takes alot of energy to vaporize any metal.

    water bp/mp = 212/32 = 6.625

    uraniumbp/mp = 7468/2070 = 3.610

    I am not concerned. It is just the way it is.
