How hard is it to replace the spark plugs on 2000 mitsubishi eclipse gt V6?
How long does it take to get it done? Already bought all the necessary parts to do it.
Can someone give me an estimated time frame. I already know it's going to be a pain. I have the haynes manual, so i know i'm not going to mess it up.

The front 3 are a piece of cake.
The rear 3 however, require removal of the upper intake manifold plenum. If you take your time and proceed carefully, you should be able to do it with your haynes manual at your side.
Labor time to replace the spark plugs on a 4 cylinder is 0.6 hrs. The V-6: 2.6 hours.
Be sure to purchase the upper intake gasket. They are pretty cheap. The paper gasket that is on the engine will be quite brittle, and will probably break during disassembly.
also, with the vehicle being 8 years old, it would be a good idea to replace the spark plug wires while you have them accessible.
Another note: If the spark plug boots are oily, you will want to replace the valve cover gaskets. You will also want to soak the oil out of the spark plug tube before you remove the spark plug. Otherwise, all that oil will run into the cylinder and cause a lot of smoke and can cause the new spark plug to foul slightly.

The front 3 should be easy, but the ones in the back can be a pain in the a$$ if you've never gone back there. If you don't know what you are doing, leave it the pros to aviod any problems, but since you already bought the parts, it will take some time to remove the back three.
