How do you lose your top contributor rating?

I was a 17% top contributor for about a week, then it went away. Anyone know why?

    I was a "TC" for a long time and I got a lot of ''Best Answers" but I still lost my badge.

    I still don't know why. It did happen at the same time that Yahoo was doing all their ''maintenance'' on Y/A.

    I wonder if that had anything to do with it...

    Maybe you didn't contribute enough at some time. Don't know I'm still waiting for my crown.

    If you stop getting best answers in your category, you will lose your badge.
