No sound when I try to record from my headset mic?
My computer will recognize my mic when I plug it in. However when I try to record using Hypercam2 no sound records. I have tried set up my mic through the control panel. It recognizes it and hear the sound. Still no sound recorded in hypercam2. I have uninstalled the program and re-installed it again. Still nothing. This setup has worked before. I have not used it in about a month. So I am not sure what has happened in that time frame.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can solve this issue?
To the first answerer....I don't understand what you mean. My mic. is connected through a USB connection.

You plugged in a headset mic that has a built in sound card. So technically you have installed two sound cards on your computer.
I never used Hypercam2 but if you can get to the sound settings of the application and change it to use the sound card that drives your headset (e.g. for Gigaware USB headsets, it's a C-media sound card), then you should be able to use the microphone from your headset.
Hope this helps.
You may also try this: Reboot your PC with the headset plugged in. Then try again with Hypercam2.

You must inform the program from which source the recording sound is coming from, the choice whom is always working "What do I hear" or something like this, also check if the sign is checked from the spdif, sometimes the optical sign is checked

you spoke back your own question, you gotta turn your volume down.... wanna recognize why? because at the same time as he talks by skill of his mic, its popping out of your headphones, in spite of the undeniable fact that their so loud the sound is travelling by skill of your mic so ya... properly i wager you are able to attempt turning the mic down or something.

make sure when you plug the microphone device, to the pink one...usually the pink mic port is where the microphone goes to..next, make sure the computer detects it...
