Looking for an "upbeat but nostalgic" song?

Hi guys,

We are looking for a song that we will play while people can watch events of what happened in the last year in our organization. We are looking for something that will "prompt people to remember" without actually making anybody cry over it.... and we're getting hopeless.... help, please!

Thanks!

Update:

We are a young chamber of commerce, so we basically spent the last year organizing activities and training sessions for the young business community.

"Good Ridance" by Green Day is a no brainer, but it might make some people cry.

"The Sporting Life" by the Decemberists would work, although its not totally positive.

"You Can't Be Missed If You Never Go Away" by Cobra Starship could work...

    umm....you're right, this is hard!

"I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack is totally sappy and would bring on the tears, but its still a good "remembering" song.

"Pictures of You" by the Last Goodnight

"Love Today" or "Relax, Take It Easy" by MIKA

"Teenage Politics", "Tomorrows Another Day" or "Responsibility" by MXPX might work.

"Moving On" or "Motivation Proclamation" by Good Charlotte

"Whoa Oh! (Me vs Everyone)" by Forever the Sickest Kids

    "My Rollercoaster" by Kimya Dawson

most of these songs would probably be more suitable for a highschool type thing, but some would work for any occasion. like "pictures of you".

Here's what I've came up with:

The Last Song -- All American Rejects

Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) -- Green Day

    Dream On -- Aerosmith

Time After Time -- Cyndi Lauper

Times Like These -- Foo Fighters

I feel like there is one right on the tip of my brain that should be obvious ... if I think of it, I'll be sure to check back in. Look at this website, it's pretty helpful: www.songfacts.com
