Go buy a paper. browse the For Rent Section. call the listed numbers for your price range. tour the places. decide on the one that works best for you. easy.

Check sites like craigstlist, etc. Also check with a local realtor to find out if they know of any properties like that for rent. Oh and check realtor.com. There are sometimes rentals listed on there.

Figure out how much you can afford together, including utilities. Figure out how much you can afford alone, in case you don't stay together, or one of you loses a job. Check your credit ratings, because your landlord will, too. Drive around to determine how long a daily drive you both are willing to make to school and jobs. Go to local newspaper or Craig's list, and start making phone calls.
