laptop cpu?

is it possible to take a cpu from a laptop (hp compaq nx9020) and use it in a normal computer or are the laptop cpu's smaller compared to a normal cpu?

    No, this is not possible because the laptop uses a smaller socket processor that uses less energy. Even if they used the same socket the desktop computer would be too demanding and cause the processor to fail.

    its a different socket, they wont fit.
