Call of Duty 4 Prestiges?

When you get to level 55 on Xbox Live in CoD4, for every prestige you get, do you have to go through another 55 levels to get to the next prestige? Or that much experience points? or is it just like getting to level 56, then 57, and so on?

    keep repeating going through 55 levels until the 10 prestige, its the highest u can go, and there u pretty much beat COD4 XBox LIVE style

    you have to repeat the same process thats getting 125k exp to lv 55
