That's really simple. Whenever someone says they're a SEAL, ask them what Class number they were in. They shouldn't hesitate for a moment, and if they tell you they can't tell you, then they are full of crap. Also ask them what BUD/S was like, and how long their training was before they received their trident.

Ask to see his BUDS/SEAL graduation photos and graduation certificates. Meet some of his 'buddies' or take him around some Navy recruiters (especially a SEAL one). He'll show his true colors. Hell he will get mad by you just asking questions. Posers always do. I just hope he's legit, but everyone wants to be a rockstar and never a groupie....

Just ask to see his graduation certificate from the SEAL Trainning center ....

If you ever see him in uniform SEALs have a sewn badge they wear on their BDUs abve the US NAVY tape. It has an anchor, trident, eagle, and a pistol.
