why do we have to have a cell phone ..grrrrrr?

Does anyone else feel like I do about cell phones? To me they are nothing but a nusance, I get asked "Why wasnt your phone on?" if I dont answer.

I get calls that demand things there and then.

I wish it was like the good "old days" that if your phone rang it meant you were out.

Help!

Update:

I have to keep one as its part of my business/career but..... what about weekend??? can I dump it????

    Get rid of your cell phone.

    Its not that hard.

    never owned a cell phone and only used one once.......if anybody wants to call me they can wait until I'm home
