How big was a saber tooth cat back in the days the old days?

There were at least 6 different types, ranging from long and thin like leopards to the large chunky short bodied ones like the Smilodon. He was 6' long and had a short tail about 2 feet long. There's a skeleton of one at our museum.

They're definately NOT the body shape or size that they showed in the movie 10,000 BC! They based that on a tiger, which is totally bogus.

sort of like a jaguar but stocky legs and bulky. I would say the weighed about 75 pounds
