When do I pay my property taxes?
I think you pay them twice a year, but not sure when to expect them. We just bought our house and chose not to escrow the taxes.

Every county usually has a different due date. In Ada County Idaho, it's 12/20 and 6/20. In Los Angeles County, CA, it's 11/1 and 2/1. You've got to look up your county tax office to find out.

Where I live property taxes are paid once a year. You need to know exactly what the taxes are going to be and put enough cash away every month so that when you get the bill you can pay on time. If they are late, there are hefty penalty's. Escrow is the best way to go as long as the home is morgaged When the bills come you just forward them to the lender.

I think you mean Real Estate Taxes. Those are the taxes on your home.
Property tax is billed to your home directly - whether you escrow or not and taxes you on your vehicles. At least this is the set up in MO.
You need to call you City and ask when taxes are due.

it depends on the city you live in. Typically, property taxes are due in December; however, the city could offer an installment plan of 3 payments like where I live.

You should google your local county tax assessor or treasurer & they will have it posted on their website as to the dates when 1st & 2nd half taxes are due.

the county will send you notification in the mail. you'll have a choice of paying all at once or in two payments. it will be clearly spelled out in the notification you get.
