what are the chances that the Melbourne Demons can win 5 games this season?

I think it depends who they play in coming weeks. If they get a win over a couple of struggling sides then they might very well lift in morale and start having a few more unexpected wins.

A) Colorado Rockies. Out of that list the Rockies have the best chance of winning the wild-card. While the Giants and Braves have pitching, their offenses are mediocre and are in the bottom 10 in most offensive categories. The Marlins have hitting, but their pitching is not on par with the Rockies.

Being a demon's supporter I know ANYTHING can happen .. just when you're prepared to wipe the whole season off.. they could start on a winning streak ....

and just when you have full confidence in them ... The wheels will fall off and the axle will break on their little red and blue wagon......

but there's always one thing a Demon's supporter can rely on ... THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR....

I can't see it happening might get 3 wins, but highly unlikely they get 5.

I reckon the chances are very good. Melbourne are a very good side and they deserve to win.

With the way things are going at the moment, I'd say there is not much. They could even be as bad as Fitzroy were in 96...but I hope not, because that is depressingly bad.
