Well, I did some math. Lets say you'll receive a yearly salary of Dhs 22K x12 = 264K, deduct yearly rent of 120K and costs of school fees 10K and 15K, leaves a yearly salary of 119K. Now divide this through 12 and you'll come up with a monthly salary of Dhs10K.

Now it will depend where you are coming from. These Dhs 10K are taxfree and medical care is provided. Living costs in Abu Dhabi can be cheap depending what and where you buy your groceries. Assuming you'll spend around Dhs 500 weekly for groceries, Dhs 250 flat rate for internet and Dhs 500 for utilities, Dhs 500 on gas, Dhs 250 for phone, leaves you with Dhs 6.500 spending money.

If you will receive more at home, no it does not make sense to work in the UAE. If you do better here, then stay.

How much it should be? No idea, just knowing, the more you make the more you spend and at the end of the month you may not have saved any anyway.

For many people (I am not talking about low wage labours) the aspect of working in a foreign country is not only the money. Many do this also for their courier because for some professions it is an advantage to have experience in a foreign country.

    Take care.

    Ground reality!

Simply put, you need a lot of money to live anywhere in the UAE whether it is Abu Dhabi, Dubai or any other state as long as Dhs is pegged with the dollar and de-pegging seen nowhere in sight.

You will be astonished to see Euro is being traded in the heart of New York (and hometown of the dollar) in grocery shops, but here......

Gone were the days when a simple math (with stable prices from a cup of yogurt to your flat rent or school fee remained stagnant for years) would help you arrive at some decision as these days inflation is eating up all the savings and any calculation seems redundant as grocery to house rents scene are changing with break-neck speed every week. So how can you bank on a claculation or some budget?

You make some budget, it goes haywire the next week. Am I wrong? It may sound a bit exagerated but this is the ground reality, you agree or not.

I'm not trying to single out the UAE. It's not only UAE, the same crisis exist all over the world.

The world's greatest hand-loomed carpet, the fastest roller coaster, the highest large tea, the tower with the best lean, the largest cluster of ethnic structures of the 21st century this is what you would get in your holyday at Abu Dhabi therefore begin making airplanes with hotelbye since this town is waiting for you yourself to offer you an unique holyday. Abu Dhabi is really a town that isn't afraid to problem earth files, is an exciting city wherever nothing stands still. One of the places must see in Abu Dhabi may be the lovely Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The mosque fuses Mameluke, Ottoman and Fatamid style elements to produce a unified and totally modern mosque that remembers Islamic architecture. Artisans utilised glass-work, mosaic tiling and complex carvings to spectacular effect on both the inner and exterior. It had been opened in 2007 following nearly twenty years of structure and can maintain 40,000 worshippers. Is the biggest mosque in the United Arab Emirates.
