How can i choose Best Answer - Chosen by Asker?

✓ For Your Questions:

You can select a best answer after 4 hours. There will be a "vote as best answer" button. You will have 4 days to do it. All your questions and answers are listed in "My Profile".

✓ For Someone Else's Questions:

You will have to wait 4 days if the asker did not pick it himself. There will be a "vote as best answer" button. You must vote before the vote closes after 2 more days.

If you ask questions, you have to wait for four (4) hours after asking the question in order to choose the "best answer." That's to give folks a fair chance to log in and find your question. Many of us log on and off periodically during the day and we may not be online when you posted.

Once the four (4) hours have elapsed, go back to view the question. You can do that by clicking on "My Profile" near the top the page, right hand side under the word "discover."

Once you're at your profile, look under your avatar (photo) and you'll see a list of all the questions you've answered plus a tab you can click to see the questions where you were chosen as "best answer," the questions you've asked and the questions you've starred.

Click on the word questions and you'll see the list of your questions, click the question and it shows you not only the question but all the answers. There will be a blue box under each answer. Click the box of the answer you liked best. You will get 3 points for choosing.

Be sure you pick the "best answer" before the time for answering expires or it'll be too late, it'll go into voting.

IF YOU DIDN'T ASK THE QUESTION, to vote on unresolved questions click the "answer" toolbar at the top of the page then click on the "vote" tab and it'll show you a bunch of questions in voting.

HOW TO CHOOSE A BEST ANSWER

- Wait for a minimum of 4 hours or more.

- Read through each answer and pick which one’s the best.

- Click the long, blue button that says,

"Choose as Best Answer" that corresponds each answer.

- Rate it by the number of stars.

- Comment on it.

- Click OK.

You earn 3 points for choosing a Best Answer.

If you weren't able to choose a Best Answer within its 4-day limit, it will then be In Voting. The voters will now choose the Best Answer for your question. You won't get your 3 points back if it ends up In Voting.

I don't think much effort goes into the choosing of Best Answer. Sometimes the "asker" will choose an answer as Best Answer and then ridicule the person with an added comment. I think all that goes to prove that YA is used by such a wide variety of folks, we can't even guess what motivates them. Consider this a way to fight boredom and do not hope for excellence in the exchange of information.

you wait 4 hours and then a blue bar will show up under each of the answers given that will say choose best answer. you just click on the blue bar. give it a rating from 1-5 and leave a comment , submit it and you are done. and if you were to chose mine ( you don't have to..no pressure :) ) and you are open for email , I personally will contact you to thank you. but again I am not trying to get you to choose mine, just pick which ever answer you think is best and most informative. You need to wait 4 hours before you can vote for best answer. a blue button will show under each answer. choose your best answer and click the blue button under it. you then can rate with 1-5 stars and leave a comment. You will get 3 points for voting. You have up to four days to vote before it goes to a community vote.

forget about 2 points and start to think really while answering and try to really help people, not earn 2 points by each ans:)

u have to wait a 4 hr long then do it u just wasted the 5pt this is not worth it
