They will not do it if they are any true Vet at all. My mother in law had a cat and told her daughter that when she died to have her cat put to sleep and buried with her. Tayna took the cat to the vet when her mother died and told him what she wanted done. Barb even put it in her living will she wanted this done. Tayna showed the vet the will and no he would not do it. Tayna still has the cat and it's alive.

Why would you want to put a healthy animal down. If you don't want it take it to the Animal Shelter or Animal Rescue Center or put up fliers in your pet stores, vet clinics, and such free to good home.

Please don't have this animal put down!

It is against the law for a vet to put a healthy animal to sleep at the owner's request.

Both the owner and the vet can go to jail for animal cruelty.

No. They are not obliged to do anything. Some vets might do it. Others may contact a rescue group to take the animal, or simply refuse to do it and suggest the owner take the animal elsewhere.

No because if the dog is healthy and you want to kill it (put it to sleep) then they will not and they will take the dog away from you.

If you want to get rid of your dog give it to a rescue center.

Or advitice it in newspapers outside shops and online.

I am sure some one will buy him and the good thing is you will get money for it .
