Many years ago I fell in love. He was my first. Now he is back.?

I was with a guy for 2 yrs in highschool-

he went off to college

we married others - had children..

fast forward 20 yrs, we met up - divorced our spouses- and FINALLY married each other -

he's the love of my life...

Well thats nice in all, I totally understand you, you never forget your first true love and thats a fact, but Its better to just leave things as they are and like one of your answers said just smile and remember the good times. You both are married now and wouldn't want to hurt your loved ones for one nite of passion ( if you were gonna meet up with him or something) of remembering how you felt about each other. Its not worth it , so just email him and say how nice it was to have heard of him again and hope he has a nice life and leave it like that. Good luck and God bless! :)

I am currently in the same situation except for the fact that I am not married and he is separated...well we have continued from where we left off it seems but really just trying to build our friendship until his situation changes...maybe it won't change..but I am grateful to have him back in my life...i don't feel i have missed anything...but I know I don't want to miss anything...we respect each other and our feelings we talk ..a lot...simply put we are best friends...again!!!

It happened to me last year.

He was my first boyfriend and the first man to kiss me.

After 25 years, he recieved an email with my name and address on it; he wrote to me, told me he had a fantastic life now .... and asked to contact him at another email address.

Fortunately, I decided not to do it. I just wrote him a short note and told him I was happy to hear that his life was a good one.

He understood my message and didn't write to me again.

Some things are better left where they belong..in the past.

girl i saw my ex today unexpectantly, and when realized that it was him.....I turned around and ran the opposite direction like I was being chased by some kids who wanted icecream...

i don't know, i don't like seeing my x's and try to avoid it

you smile and remember the good times...

and remember you're committed to your spouse.

so you make these times good times too.
