What does the term 'Oblique' mean???

Oblique means, at an angle. That can be used in so many ways to describe anything that is at an angle, as seen by a meteorologist but it is not a special term. Being both a sailor and a pilot, I even teach meteorology but I've never met that word as a meteorological term. Sorry.
