are there sufficient moorings?

using no more than 30 ft craft navigate the USA coastal area and find sufficient moorings so to travel day by day without prior arrangements.

    There are many 30ft craft that could make this trip.

    Things to think about is your fuel range and distance range for the day. Another would be that many marinas would be happy to have you durring the week, but on a busy weekend you would be best to contact them ahead of time to make sure a slip would be available.

    On the Gulf and east costs, using the Inter-Coastal Waterway there will not be a problem. North of New York, you have to go into the open sea, and you may have a problem. On the west coast there are lots of open stretches that do not have commercial moorings. Same thing with the north coast.

    You actually want to tie up to a mooring and not just drop anchor? I know where I am, you can probably rent a slip, but not a mooring.

    along the east coast, if you use the intercoastal waterway there are plenty of marinas providing all services.
