What is a really good straightener?

I also have thick and curly hair. I hate it. I used to have a cheapish straightner (about $50) and It never worked on my hair. My nana got me a CHI for my birthday and it works wonders! It only takes about 45 mins. to do my hair now, where it used to take two hours. Yes, it's a lot of money, but it's really worth it in the long run.

I have the same type of hair and I use a cortex pro ceramic straightener and it is just under 50 dollars

if you have really thick curly hair then you need a good straightener and those don't come cheap.

the cheap ones are ceramic coated not ceramic plated and they will leave hair like your frizzy and nasty. they only work well on ppl with fine hair or hair thats in very good condition and easy to manipulate.

if you want to straigten your hair and have it look good then get GHD straighteners - nothing beats them

i have that and i have really thick hair and it straightens my hair in less than 20 minutes and makes it real straight for all day

also if you get the chi get the chi products to protect your hair from the heat

i like the conair straightner i got from walgreens, its red, it was only about $30, and it heats up in 30 seconds, it gets super hot too! it has a dial also for the heat you want and it turns off automatically in 60 min

I have the same red straighter as T.J has, it does work really good. I was going to put it on here but I didn't know what it was called because I can't find the box, but I have the same one it I like it alot.

nthing like ceramic iron from chi chi chi is the best & it wont damage ur hair

go buy an iron that work better then a straighter . truth.......... and it's less then 60$
