Animals are better than you?

Just a fun question

This funny video inspired me to get some opinions from my favorite forum. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBj4Ny19vfQ

What are some ways you believe animals are better than people? I know animals offer unconditional love and never judge or criticize.

I am also willing to hear some humorous ways animals are better than people. I like to smile!

Update:

Forest Basenji- I couldn't agree with your answer more!

Update 2:

Love is An American Bulldork :) - Thats one reason I don't have children. I like it as easy as possible! You are one hell of a woman! :)

Update 3:

Iggy- I am glad you enjoyed the video. Its one of my favorites. :) I laugh every time.

Jazzie- Your answer was wonderful. Animals touch me on that level also. I just also like to laugh.

Thanks everyone for your answers!

LOL....they don't criticize your cooking. Even if you burn the roast, they'll still eat it and act like you just fed them a gourmet dinner.

They don't laugh at you when you talk to yourself or make faces in the bathroom mirror, or sing and dance to your favorite Michael Jackson (or other "guilty pleasure") song when you think no one is watching.

They have the capacity to love people who are deemed "unlovable" or "undesirable" by society. How often have you seen a dirty, ragged homeless person sitting or walking with a stray dog at his side? While most folks in society would rather ignore or avoid the homeless person, preferring that he not even be there, the dog has a big enough heart to love him when no one else will :).

This is a cute video, shower my husband and he is still laughing, I needed this today, thanks.

animals are better than we are because.......

my dogs don't take the last $20.00 out of my wallet without telling me.

my dogs don't hog the popcorn at the drive in movie

my dogs don't use the last of the toilet paper in the guest bathroom and not replace it.

my dogs don't drink the last of the tea, and put the tea pitcher back in the frig, with just enough to get one sip.

my dogs don't eat the last of the cheese cake in the frig and leave the empty platter in the sink, rather than putting it in the dishwasher.

my dogs don't take a shower with the inner liner outside the tub and water gets all over the floor.

dogs do not judge you, they just love you for who you really are.

dogs will love you to their last breath and still lick your face in the end.....

dogs will comfort you and stay by your side, no matter how cranky you are when you have had a bad day at work...

dogs will cuddle and keep you warm in the winter, even when they do take all the covers, and this is for real ha ha

    everyone have a great evening

I always lprefer animals to people- They are cute- and fuzzy and they are fun to try and figure out- Like I always think my dog is saying something just by the expressions on his face- It's fun to try and figure them out. Plus they are down for anything if I grab a towel and wanna play- we can play with the towel. Or if I decide it's a good idea to jump of the cement in to the deep end of the pool quess who jumps right after me- they are just so enthusiastc!

    Dogs inspire me.

Their sensitivity to their surroundings amaze me. They seem to be intimately in touch with a realm of being that humans rarely experience, if ever.

Dogs that can detect cancer, sense an oncoming seizure, find termites in homes, detect drugs, sense pain & suffering, sense impending death. These abilities are second nature to our canine friends.....and they truly amaze and touch me on a profound level.

My biggest inspiration is my therapy dog.....who will snuggle with a perfect stranger because she senses their need, their pain. My heart aches from how deeply I am touched by this gift they bring.

Not humorous....sorry. Dogs touch me on a much deeper level than that.

He doesn't feel sorry for himself. He is the best listener...I tell him things that no one else will ever know- and he has NEVER told anyone! He is always happy to see me. He doesn't care what I look like - he loves me equally in blue jeans or in high heels. He likes my cooking (good boy!). He is loyal no matter how stupid I have been. He's just the best there is!

I will concede that most wild animals are better than most of us humans, in that they more often than not, really have to work hard and spend a lot of their time acquiring food.

We just go to the frig. or pop something into the microwave.

They most often kill only to satisfy their hunger; but now always. Some of us hunt just for sport, not for food.

We enslave some of them for different purposes; not always according them good care, and forcing horrible pain and torture upon on them, for the purpose of scientific research.

But I can't agree that they, the animals, are are all nice, lovable, cuddly creatures and necessarily better than us humans: some pets have horribly maimed people, even killing them for no legitimate reasons: that they have been trained to do so, is no excuse.

So, hate to spoil your fun, but-------------

My dogs forgive me for anything.

They are NEVER mad at me.

They are always happy tp see anyone.

    They don't talk back.

They don't ask for money :)

    They don't lie.

    They do as they're told.

They are sweet and lovable all the time! No person I have ever met can say that.

They are always honest, and never lie to us. I do not think that is true of any human. We all tell a lie from time to time, even if it is just a white lie. It is still a lie, and dogs are just not capable of lying to us.

  • 1 decade ago

They are 100% honest! Like when you get home from work, had a bad day, sit down on the couch and say something to yourself, and your dog sits infront of you, tilts it's head to the side thinking "I think you have lost your mind"!!!!

my dog doesn't leave the seat up

my dog doesn't use up all the gas in my car

    my dog doesn't nag

my dog doesn't leave the cap off of the toothpaste and he doesn't squeeze it from the middle

    my dog doesn't get hangovers

my dog doesn't leave a mess in the kitchen

now the cat .... he's a whole 'nother story
