How do I get .flv files to play in iMovie?
I already downloaded Perian, so I can play .flv files in Quicktime. However, I'm unable to import these into iMovie. Whenever I click the import button, the file I'd like to import is greyed out and I'm unable to play it.
I'm running Mac OS X, iMovie '08, Quicktime 7.4.5, and Perian 1.1.

You need to convert the .flv files first. You can convert your video here: http://media-convert.com/

Try converting first the FLV files you downloaded to AVI or WMV before doing something with the file. There are numerous sites who offered free converter of FLV files. What you are going to do is just to download and the movie presentation is already readable by your favorite player. Good luck. Alex G

Since it doesnt support the FLV files, you'll have to convert it. Use this program, it does a pretty good job.
