NBC blamed it on poor ratings- the usual reason.
I doubt the show will return. It has been cancelled for quite a while, so I doubt you will have any luck trying to get the show back on the air.

When the writer's strike happened they checked ratings and the show tanked big time so it was cancelled.

Low ratings. I watched it and was bored. The "bad" girl was more interesting than the "good" one.
