Why are people more afraid of tarantulas than going to a mall?.?

Honestly, most fears are completely illogical. Some fears-- like being frightened if you were dangling off the edge of a cliff-- are entirely logical. Some-- like avoiding a spider if you think it might be poisonous-- are logical and healthy. But from those come phobias-- illogical fears. For example, if you KNOW that a spider isn't poisonous and there's NO reason you should be afraid of it, but it still gives you the creeps.

For example, I have 2.5" Madagascar hissing cockroaches and love to hold them or let them crawl around on my face. But when I encounter a typical inch-long "wild" cockroach running across my kitchen floor, it creeps me out. I understand it's entirely illogical, and if I force myself to concentrate on not being afraid, I can hold regular cockroaches, but I cannot erase the reflex to be frightened.

I think most people know their fear of tarantulas is illogical... It's just that, a phobia.

Spiders scare me x.x

And it's not like there's always shootings at malls.

I don't really like the mall that much though.

because you usually arent shot at a mall and they are fun. and tarantulas are scary and what if they bite you or something and they just look creepy...

idk i guess couse the are spiders and most ppl dont like them. They dont really bother me. i would rather see a spider than go to the mall any day. but thats just me i do not like malls
