Why is it in black neighborhoods, Prom is such a spectacle. I'm not trying to be racist, just curious?

It's a spectacle in all neighborhoods. I'm part black and part american indian.....the white kids at my school outdid the black people. That's a sad generalization.

Sorry, you're still being racist. It's like that in all neighborhoods. It's not like white people's proms involve sipping tea and playing croquet..... They're ALL spectacles.

prom is a spectacle in every neighbirhood really, it signals the end of high school and people usually say it going to be the best night of your life so why would'y anyone get excited

sorry, but its a spectacle in ALL cultures. dare i say that white kids typically spend more on prom than most Black kids do. and for the record, when it comes to celebrating and REALLY knowing how to party, its in our blood. that's why yall always want us at your parties lol.

i had to look in my dictionary for the word spectacle lol. i live in a black neighborhood i guess and prom is wack. im guessing u just watched that movie with the segregated prom or something. well i went to prom like a month ago and i took a white girl with me and she was havin a blast while the black girls was like "hmm... this is iight i guess"
