fun places in Kansas City for a Birthday?

i am throwing a birthday and the people who are coming are all 12 and older i was thinking about Worlds of fun but that is to pricey and the birthday packages are for camp snoopy and i know no teen wants a snoopy birthday. So can you please tell me a good place to have a teen party. the only places i can think iof is Cool Crest(which is getting old, ive been there alot), Paridise Park, and my house.

p.s. this party is for me

If I could go anywhere.. I'd go to Dave & Buster's out in the Legends shopping center.. It's technically in KS, but it's not far from KC at all! Plus, everyone buys their own card to play games with and no one gets bored!! Hope that helps and happy early b'day!

Bowling - though any lane would do, there's a few around town that are a bit more interesting. For example, there's the alley at the new Power and Light district. Though the place is decidedly more adult oriented at night, I'm sure during the day it's more early-teen friendly. Plus, plenty of good restaurants around for food. Also right next to the Sprint Center if there's an event going on (a plus and a minus).

There's also Pin-Up Bowl at the Legends up by the Speedway. Again, this is a place you would want to hit during the day. Also plenty of good restaurants around, as well as Dave and Busters - if you haven't been here yet, you'll want to check it out. It alone would be a good place to go with a group on a party. Plus a movie theater, shops, etc.

Just go to Worlds of Fun and don't do the birthday package. Compare-a boring party at a house, or riding the 205 foot tall Mamba or blasting 16 stories into the air on Detonator at Worlds of Fun!

What about seeing a show at Starlight? You could have a picnic or go out to dinner first, then go to the show. This is fun because you get to dress up. Tickets are more reasonable then WOF- especially if you sit in the back or towards the sides. Then you could go back to your place and have cake and presents. The downside is that you can't really talk to your friends during a play- but it gives you a lot to talk about afterwords. (ie did they like it, fav song, best costume, etc). Another place that might be fun is the new dinner theatre resturant in overland park. This way you don't have to worry about rain and it includes dinner (but may be pricier than Starlight)

Premier Bowl in Raytown is only a dollar a game during the day-call and see which days it is. (I can't remember). Super Splash is a lot cheaper than Oceans of Fun. You can get 6 tickets and 6 soft drinks for $55. Have fun!

Ahh Kansas City Recreation. Many places are very fun and give you plenty of things to do. You could try the GAGE Center for plenty of fun entertainment or you could also try the great Wolf Lodge for lots of water fun. Either place is plenty of fun.

We enjoyed Family Golf Park on 40 Hiway. They have a place to hold birthday parties, a game room, miniature golf, bumper boats and they could always hit golf balls!

Another thing would be to go horseback riding or a picnic in Lake Jacomo or Blue Springs Park. You could play softball or volleyball.

Great Wolf Lodge would be fun although it may be more pricey than you would like.

Super Splash also sounded like a great idea at a great price!

I took my son who turned 13 to Jeagers indoor paintball facility the kids raved they said it was the best b-day party they've been to in a long time. a few bangs and bruises, but the kids enjoyed themselves.
