This is what happened:
It was on Idol Tonight, the show that appears on the TV Guide Network, and they were interviewing both David's. And David Cook said to Kimberly, "I've heard you have said a lot of nice things about me, so I'm gonna ask you out to dinner," it was something to that effect. Then he gave her a flower. Trust me, I watched the show, maybe you can look it up on YouTube.
They are not dating at all, he just asked her out to dinner! People are saying they're going out but it's not true!

Im not sure if they actually went on a date, but on Idol tonight he gave Kimberly Caldwell a flower and asked her if she would like to go on a date.
