Cellular Genetic Memory?

Is there any proof of one who has a transplant gaining the traits &/or memories of the donor? Just curious.

Sounds like an Assasin's Creed reference. It is theorized that your DNA encodes every memory you have along with the memories of those whose DNA you share (ancestors), however it has yet to be proven. It would be very interesting if this were true, think of the history we could discover looking through the eyes of our ancestors.

I have read an article about a Lesbian woman who had a heart transplant, from a 15 year old heterosexual girl who over night (almost) ended her long term relationship of 10+ years and now is married with children, I have also (same article I think, or possibly a TV program) read that a man who wasn't very sporty, and didn't like sports became very active in boating and such.

I have read others and other programs such as 2 men who had organs swaped (I know the opperation had something to do with a heart and lung transplant but not much more) basicly swapped certain personality traits, and are best friends, and another man who (without any knowledge of who she was) started dating the widow of the donor organs.

there are many stories Like this and I usually try to get hold of the magazine or watch the program when i hear about them as I find it very interesting.

yes, very very sad story, the donor had died during a saw accident. his heart was transplanted to another man, the man found the donors ex, married the donors ex, and did the same things as the donor. (says the wife) on a day, the man got killed in a saw accident doing the same thing the donor did. chilling.

Source(s): research, im curious in this topic.

There were some reported cases relating to heart transplants from younger doners where the recipient would suddenly want to celebrate a birthday (like their 21st) when they were much older than that.
