How Does Best answer work?

The asker chooses, but if they take too long it goes into voting.

The asker chooses the best answer. However, if he/she doesn't choose the best answer before the question expires, it is chosen by the community (voted). Hope I helped--- normally, I have so much to do that I miss almost all of my best answers!!! :D
