What Anti-Virus software got the most awards?

Here are some pros and cons of some of the best antivirus software:

1. Kaspersky

pros: one of the best detections and removal av software

fastest in scanning even in large hard drives

low in system resources

good tech support, fast updates (almost hourly)

cons: many software incompatibiltities

2. Avira antivir premium

pros: another top in scanning and removal

low in system resources

has own website guard feature

cons: tends to slow surfing because of its webguard feature

tends to generate false positives but not often

3. ESET antivirus

pros: excellent heuristics

fast scanning

low on system resources

cons: not good at removal of viruses

4. Bitdefender antivirus

pros: another top at detection and removal

cons: heavy on resources

tends to generate false positives

IMO, having many awards does not mean being the best. Just take a look at Norton which for many years being "tagged" as the best antivirus. In reality tests that were used by these companies are the common ones which they would initially top and tend to forget that the most dangerous malwares are those in the "wild".

If don't think about the price, I think Kaspersky and Nod32 is the best choice, they're both powerful and brilliant!

AVG is the best anti virus software ever made and has the most awards

I use AVG Free and on a second computer I have AVAST Free. Both good anti virus programs. For spyware I use AD-Aware 2007 and Spybot Search and Destroy 1.5 both free.

thats a lie it won't slowdown your pc after you install kaspersky. you can try the trial here http://kaspersky.com/trial yes kaspersky is the best. Norton the suckest.

AVG because it is free and downloaded by millions of users.

so far the antivirus that i have encountered with the most awards is bitdefender...

NOD32 coz it updates itself everytime............................it needs!!!!!!
