How do you prevent mice from making a nest in your blower motor assembly?

I have a 1996 Dodge Avenger and for 2 yrs. in a row I have had mice brining in acorns into my blower motor. I Almost was forced to buy an new motor but told the repair shop I smelled wet hair and think it happened again this winter! Sure enough!! The thing was full of hair & acorns. They cleaned it out again but no answer on how to avoid it from happening again. I drive my car All the time but the guy thought it was sitting! Any suggestions?

the mice have to be gaining access through a air intake find the air intake and place some wire across it.. it cant be hard to find the mice found it.. there is chicken wire small enough that air can pass but a mouse cant.. also leave then some mouse poison near this opning.. what it is are familes returning where they were born.. ok.
