normal acids wont dissolve copper, but oxygen gas will cause it to rust (turning green)

a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid (in a ratio of 1 to 3, I believe) makes aqua regia which is capable of dissolving most anything, including gold. There are a few substances that resist it but not many.

hydrogen peroxide and hydrochloric acid will.

Any oxidising acid, such as nitric acid, will dissolve copper. Hydrochloric acid is not capable of oxidising copper, so it will have no effect.
