Yukon Gold spuds, why they yellow?

Is this a natural yellow color or something that gets added to the soil for consumer appeal???

I always wonder about that when I find apples that look like the inside has been dyed red or something. Like, are they dying the outside and is it seeping in, or are they just red inside?

Based on some research I did, some apples are actually red on the inside, though. It's strange.
