When can I retire? I am a Texas Teacher.?
I have finished my 3rd year teaching. I am 24 years old. I know I still have a long way to go but I have no idea how the teacher retirement goes. Can I retire when I am a certain age only or do the years teaching count? Thank you very much for your input!

Check this website. The rules change from time to time and I can't tell you for sure what they are. I will tell you that your years of teaching experience and your age must add up to a certain number for you to get full benefits. For example, I have been teaching 30 years and I am 52, so my total is 82.
Sorry I couldn;t be more help.
