how good are my SAT scores relative to other people's?

1970 is respectable but you know it's a decent score and just wanted to brag. Where are your parents? You certainly need attention if your best idea is to seek out Yahoo! Answers for validation.

You were clearly not asking for the purpose in your edit. You provided no information but your raw scores. Don't bother with your GPA, nobody here cares. Same for your extracurriculars. And no, your score is not acceptable for the best schools but it is adequate for those above-average. However, SAT scores are one small factor in the decision.

The highest you can score is 2400. The lowest is 600. Your score is above average.

I'm guessing because of your high score, you know good and well how your score compares to other people and you just want to brag about it.

Well, congratulations!!! I'm sure combined with a strong academic record a very good college will accept you.

That's pretty good - lol your scores are like the opposite of mine - i got a 2090 but did the worst in math and the best in reading

I'm going to a pretty good school next year if that's what you're worried about - you should be fine!

Those are all above average scores, congrats! I never took the SAT, I took the ACT personally, but I know that your score is good.

For Ivy League you need like above 2250

you owned. i got a 630 in cr and 630 in writing and 560 in math...maybe next time you can take my math section...i had no idea how to do most of it (which is pathetic cuz im in precalc H) but good job..i give you props for doing that well on the math section.

I got like 1600 something...so you owned me...but then again I was in 8th grade when I took them...
