Why are some peoples questions answered by hundreds of people and others don't get any answers at all?
Any ideas on this?
Well I guess I know why I never get an answer I don't have any contacts.

Usually the questions with the most answers are in Polls & Surveys, and are about sex, Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers. More people have opinions about that type of thing than know the answers to more serious questions.

Asking questions that are interesting to others helps with getting more answers, the time of day, category and how many contacts you have increases the number of answers also. Hundreds of answers would only be received from people who have a lot of contacts in Polls and Surveys.
Good luck. I hope this helps you.

I think it really just depends on what the question is. Like, if I don't have a decent answer, or have NO idea, I won't answer. You always get those people who will put random or rude things just for the 2 points. But I don't answer if I don't know.

I think that it partially has to do with how well you match your question to the correct category. For example, should you put your problem with your significant other in the "singles and dating" category or the "psychology" one? The other part of the equation, I believe, is how you word your question. The most concise question tends to garner more volume in terms of quantity of responses. That's just what I think though!
