working om federal holiday memorial day?

does an employer have to pay employees time in a half for work on the holidays that government offices etc are losed , besides fast food , gas stations and grocery stores , i work 4 99 cent only stores they paid time in a half 4 new years work

    Yes, if you work on a federal holiday, which Memorial Day is, they should be paying you extra.

    They are not required by law to. Most stores so it to entice people to work on holidays.
