What is a good Hotel to stay at in Las Vegas?

I went to Las Vegas two summers ago and we walked the entire strip. MGM Grand was one of my favorites. It's so beautiful. I would have loved to stay there. It really just depends on what you are looking for though. Like Treasure Island is just a fun place to be. The Sirens of TI perform every night. The MGM Grand has an elegant atmosphere. We stayed in Circus Circus which would be a great place if you have kids. They have circus performers there through out the day, and they have an amusement park inside. = ) Good luck picking. You really can't go wrong with any hotel on the strip.

It sounds like this will be your 1st trip to LV. You will have a blast.

You won't be in your room much so look for something at your price point, clean and centrally located on the strip. MGM is on the far South end. It is a nice place but location is a negative and it is huge which translate to a possible 15 minute hike from your room to the strip.

Look for something central like Harrah's, Flamingo (GO Room), Bally's North tower deluxe rooms and Mirage.

December can be cold at night. We were there December 1-6. I wore layers. A couple of times I could have used my coat.

I recommend MGM or Mandalay Bay. If you are staying there or at any other hotel make sure to book your room with the hotel directly. If do so check the hotel promotions for your desired hotel on sites like http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/

MGM is nice, and reasonably priced. It is also right in the middle of everything on the strip. I really enjoyed the Bellagio.

I would recommend MGM, Bally's, Venetian and the Bellagio - MGM is pretty good but Venetian is my favorite. We stayed at Excalibur once and it was the absolute worst so definitely stay away from that one.

MGM Grand is very nice. But my favorite is the Bellagio.

Stay on the strip for the best ones. Circus Circus is horrible unless you thrive in filth.

My recommendations (from cheaper to more expensive) are Luxor, MGM, Mirage, Paris, and Venetian.
