I have just lost my entire Yahoo Answers account ....help?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I have completely lost my Yahoo Answers account! I have been in perfect standing, NO violations and I had just been advanced to level 3 two days ago. When I tried to sign in this morning Yahoo did not accept my account information that I have been using for 2 years. My avatar is missing from my Yahoo tool bar also. I have not uninstalled anything from my computer. I am TOTALLY CONFUSED AND UPSET!!
I am on Answers today because I had to create a whole new account just to ask this question, which now means I am back to level 1. Does any one know what could have happened ? I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone.
Thanks for your replies I WILL email them.
kr toron you are not freaking me out. I said I have no violations and I am not lying.
Yep, I think it could have been hacked. It's weird how everything just dissapeared. No trace of anything.
I'll contact them, thanks again to everyone, including kr toron
Thank you echinopsis. I have just emailed them and if I don't hear from them in a day or two I will call them.
SORRY TO SAY THAT I HAVE CALLED YAHOO! AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A CLUE. JUST KEEP GETTING A RUN AROUND OF OPERATORS WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP. YOU ALL KNEW WAY MORE THAN THE YAHOO! OPERATORS KNOW. I DON'T WANT TO VOTE FOR A BEST ANSWER BECAUSE EVERYONE HAD A GOOD ANSWER!

In case of a hacked account send a mail describing your problem to account-security-help @cc.yahoo-inc.com
Note: please delete the blank space between help and @ which I had to insert because Yahoo can't handle long addresses. If this doesn't help, call Yahoo: 1-408-349-1572, explain to a customer service person what happened. They will ask you to do certain things and then they compare your original info with the changed info. Within 24 hrs you should get your account back!
To see how well this works, go to the links below...:-)

The same thing happened to a friend of mine in November 2006, she lost EVERYTHING including her Yahoo email abilities and Yahoo Answers account. She'd had just one violation and it was something minor, joking around instead of being serious.
She never did get an answer but you can try emailing the Yahoo Answers Team at y_answrs_team@yahoo.com (with no "e" in "answers" for some reason) and see if they respond but my friend never did get an answer.

Write a letter to the Yahoo Answers people and find out what happened to your account. Maybe they accidently deleted it. You say you had no violations.

You MUST have received a Violation - and one serious enough to have your account SUSPENDED (which means you can NEVER use Answers again)...
At least they didn't BAN your account - which is a nice way of saying they deleted your ENTIRE ACCOUNT (email included!!!) ;););)
Source(s): There is always the option to APPEAL - which I WOULD recommend in this case! - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

There is one other possibility:
You may have been hacked; report it here:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/abuse/abuse-11023...
my-login-support@ cc.yahoo- inc.com
If that is not the case, you can also try appealing it here:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/first_app... if the email to the YA team given above does not help.
