How long to cook frozen meatballs in crockpot?
My cousin's wife and I are having a ladies night tomorrow night. I bought a big bag of frozen meatballs and some teriyaki glaze at Costco for the party.
She will be preparing them in her crockpot... Is it better to throw the meatballs in the oven first, or should we just put them in the crockpot frozen with the sauce?
How long approximately does it take for them to be thawed/warm/ready to eat if you put them in the crock pot in their frozen state?
The meatballs are already cooked.

Just put the meatballs in the crockpot with the sauce. I would add some garlic and let it cook for about 40 minutes to an hour starting off with low heat. I love those kind of meatballs! Good luck with the get together>

It depends if the meatballs are already cooked or not.
If they are, defrost them and chuck them into the sauce and warm through.
If they are not, defrost them, cook them and then put them into the sauce.
Certainly do NOT put them in the sauce frozen, chances are you'll end up with hot sauce and cold meatballs.
Defrost overnight by breaking them up (so its not a frozen mass) and putting htem in the fridge overnight.

I think you should at least thaw the meat balls first. Once thawed it will take a while even on high for the meat balls to get hot all the way through. If I were doing them I would either heat the meat balls in the oven first or heat the sauce with the meat balls on the stove and use the crock pot to keep them warm.
