Try the Twilight Series, because it is great and you could learn from the guys in it! :)

Also try the Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson.

And Looking for Alaska and Too Many Katherines by John Greene. They are both really good books and are geared toward guys. :) Hope I helped!

It would help if you gave your interests, but here goes:

    http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com/

Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, a short review of each book along with a brief summary of adult content. There is also a "Reader's Choice" list of favorite books, and a list of heroine sorcery fantasy books.

Also these: http://www.interleaves.org/~rteeter/grtother.html#... . Lots of lists, but I especially like the Harvard Classics list - all the books that I should have read, but (mostly) never did.

Then these: http://www.awardannals.com/wiki/Honor_roll:Genres - pick your genre, find the best books ranked by how many awards they've won.

Some not mentioned but should be: these are some of my favorite adventure books not mentioned in the above lists:

Journey to the Center of the Earth by Verne - my favorite scifi and my favorite adventure. Funny, dinosaurs, giants, caves, secret codes, long, grueling journeys, volcanoes... this one has it all. Free online.

The Jungle Books - a must-read for all boys (and all girls too, in my opinion). Free online.

The Doctor Dolittle books - free online.

Tarzan of the Apes - although not as good as those mentioned above, it really is pretty good (better than the sequels) and it is *very* different from the movies (the bad guy is a gorilla!) Free online.

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH - a really great book, but not free.

Almost anything by Andre Norton, but especially "Star Man's Son" (sometimes titled "Daybreak: 2250 A.D.") Excellent post-nuclear scifi coming-of-age fantasy adventure. *Many* of her stories are similarly excellent (and have similar themes - perfect at your age).

Before Adam by Jack London - should be free online, a guy has memories of an earlier life - as a missing link, a proto-human.

Dracula - starts out slowly, but by the time you're finished you'll wonder why no one told you how great it is before now. Free online.

    I hope this helps.

Me personally Loves the vampire romance and drama so I can hand some good books of that.

    -Twilight series.

    -Vampire Diaries.

    -Blue Blood series

-(not a vampire book but very amazing) Riddles of epsilon

    -(another non vampire book) So.b.it

That is all the good books I can really think about but

if you feel that the Twilight series will be cheap

they are coming out with the males perspective in August as well as the movie

    in December :P

Hope you take some of my book ideas

Lord of the Rings By J.R.R. Tolkien is amazing!! The hobbit is pretty good too, but not as good. Easier to read though

Acceleration by Graham McNamee is very good, too. though it's not a very challenging read.

    Nightwatch is very good also

Shakespeare's A comedy of errors is hilarious, definately worth the read. Hamlet and macbeth are filled with violence and gore and such.

THe Cirque du freak series (AKA The Darren Shan Saga) By Darren Shan are good, though there isn't much development in the main character. His Demonata series is also amazing, and better I think.

Peeps is a good one. It's by scott westerfeild. THe midnighters series too

The Naming, Book one of the pellinor series by croggon is great

The picture of Dorian Gray is AMAZING! Other play by oscar wilde are good too, like lady windmere's fan, the importance of being earnest, an ideal husband and a woman of no importance

That's all I can give you off the top of my head. Hope it helps!

since ur a boy u might like Eragon and Eldest.

i personally love Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse but it comes from a girls point of view and shes in love with a vampire (sounds kinda cheesy but its not its the best book ever) but it does have adventure, action, and suspense in it and some freaky moments i guess you could call horror. If you dont want to read Twilight, New Moon or Eclipse i would read Eragon and Eldest but i highly recommened Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse.

    They are great.

Anything by Terry Pratchett, he's so witty.

What about some classics? I love the Sherlock Holmes stories, you might like them too.
